Experience 

Hugh has over 25 years' experience in establishing and managing structures to meet the needs of private clients and dynastic families. He has broad international experience and has worked with both high value complex investment propositions and mature trust structures which have transitioned to the 2nd and 3rd generations, including working with a number of family offices. Hugh also has significant experience in both commercial real estate and land development projects and has served as a non-executive director of a number of quoted investment funds.

Qualifications

Hugh is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Personal and Professional Background 

Hugh was educated at Stowe School and Exeter University where he read Physics. He qualified with Ernst & Young in Jersey and was appointed a partner in 1997. He was a director of the firm's trust company until its acquisition by Royal Bank of Canada and then served as a member of the British Isles Trust Executive Committee until 2004. Hugh then helped establish and manage the offshore multifamily office for a well-known banking family before returning to Jersey in 2010 as a private client director at Sanne Group. Hugh joined Pentera Trust in 2015.

Hugh is married to Sharon and has a son and daughter. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, cycling and supporting his local church.
